After lunch Room 12 settle down for 30 minutes to silent read which we call Drop Everything And Read a.k.a. DEAR.

Landscapes & Illusions

With our Arts Week coming to a close we're spending some time finishing off our artwork with Mrs Lynch. For our first session with Mrs Lynch on Tuesday we made landscapes by cutting out bits of black, pale brown, light blue and white pieces of card. The outcome was speculate and it took a short time to do so we on drawing some colourful optical illusions, that's what we carried on with today and once again they were amazing.

Y5 SRA Reading

This year in Term 4, the Room 12 Year 5s are reading the SRA reading cards. I 'm currently reading in the aqua group, the fourth hardiest section in the SRA reading and my friend Joel rosy doing the brown section.   Here is a video and photo of my friend marking his work.

Game

We played a game of octopus. Kaeyla was "in" for a really long time.  We played four rounds.

The Ghosts Of Tarawera

At the moment we are reading the Ghosts of Tarawera.   It's about the area of New Zealand where the famous Pink and White Terraces used to be.  You can get the gist of it by watching the video.  In the photo is the front cover of the book.

Year 6 Memoirs

The year 6's have been working on their memoirs here is my memoir so far.

Writing Assessment

Today we are doing a writing assessment so the teachers can see how our writing is going. We are doing persuasive writing assessment we have to write persuasively.
