Lanterns

Yesterday we started making our Matariki lanterns.   We had to partner up and when we were with our partner we get given four pieces of paper which are wrappers for the can so we can make our lantern designs.  When we had finished that we went up to Mr P and he told us that we can dot it with a vivid to show where the holes will go.

Next we showed Mr P and he said "Grab a can and cut the wrapper so you can stick the wrapper on with a glue stick."

We used four pieces of sticky tape to attach the wrapper.  Two pieces of tape went in the inside, then the next two pieces went on the bottom.

Next I went up to Mr P he told me I could start hammering my can.  So I start hammering.  It was a little sore but I got it finished and was third in the class to finish.  It looks great.
