The Car Crashes Group

Today room 12 is testing their cars down the ramp.  The photo is of Kane, Cole, and Anthony's cars. Every group got to pick a name and it had to begin with your group letter.  Mr P made the groups and named them A - F.  My group had to start our name with C.  Our name is the Car Crashes.

Taieri College Come to Elmgrove

Mrs Rosevear is talking to the Year 6 children about Taieri College and when it is open for us and go in and see and to decide if we like to go there.

The Book

Miss Dore is reading a book and when we have finished the book we are going to read room12 's chapter book called "Wonder."   We are going to netball next.

Song One Call Away

Today we are singing "One Call Away" using NZSL (New Zealand Sign Language).  All of the class go to netball, the singing and then to read our class book.

Swimming

Today room 12 is at the Mosgiel pool.   Luke, Kane and I always run to the changing rooms because we like to be first out to sit in the best spot and we get to wait.  We also like get to talk to each other.  Kane and I got to the same group and Luke goes to his group and are instructor is Jess.

Tennis

Today room 12 is playing tennis competition.  The people who went through to the competition are playing tennis to get better and learn new skills.  Right now we are playing games against each other. The people with the highest score get through the to the competition between all of the schools in Mosgiel.  I am in the the Elmgrove School and I'm excited about it.

Balloon Bump

How to play Balloon Bump 2 : You are in a team and you have to keep the balloon off the floor and we play just balloon bump yesterday.  We used one balloon but this game we used two balloons.

Mojo Chapter 2

Mojo was trying to making a robot and he failed.  Then Katie said to Mojo "Don't give up!"  So Mojo just started working and working so hard that he finished the robot.

Mr P adds: We are learning about learning.  Today our video helped us to understand that mistakes are important to learning.  We need to take risks in our learning and not be worried about making mistakes.

We also heard the story of Henry Ford who founded the Ford Motor Company.  His Model T car was very popular and changed the world.  It was called the Model "T" because he had made an A, B, C, D, E.....Q, R, S model before he finally made a model that worked.  Henry Ford was not took lots of risks and made lots of mistakes.  He learnt from his mistakes.
