After lunch we have DEAR witch means Drop Everything And Read.  I'm reading Zac Power, The tomb of doom.  It's a good book and for kids 6 and above. It's about Zac's latest mission is to find a top GIB agent missing near the vanishing pyramid in the Amber Sands desert.  Zac will need more than a bag full of super-cool gadgets to complete this mission and get out alive!!!?????.

Assembly

Today at at Assembly we had room 1 do a Jump Jam dance from the song called "Reach for the Stars".  Now time for the birthday certificates.   Happy birthday to all those birthday people.  To finish off with the day the certificates for all those good people out there.

Korero Competition

Today we are going to be doing a Korero competition (a competition for speaking in Maori).  To start us off Mr P did his Mihi.   It was a bit different from ours because he lives in Dunedin.  So far Caitlyn, Christie and Grace have told us their mihi.   Time for the finals! Abbey,  Logan and Jessie were Room 12's finalists and the overall winners were, from Room 9 is Ella-Grace, Room 10 Braxton and Room 12 Abbey.
