Equal Adjustments Strategy
At maths we are writing equal adjustment subtraction problems, my partner is Sequoia. We also have to finish work from yesterday.
Mr P writes: Equal adjustments is a mental strategy for solving subtraction problems. We look for one number to make tidy (i.e. a number close to a ten). We adjust this number then adjust the other number by the same amount. This keeps the difference between the numbers the same. That way we have changed the problem into a simpler problem with the same answer.
