Hand Writing And Flexi Time Passports

We are practising handwriting in Flexi Time because we need to learn how to write neater.  In handwriting we are learning to write on a slope, write faster, shape our letters and keep them the same size.   At the start of the term we all copied out the same poem called “The Ants at the Olympics”.   In week four we all got to chose a different poem to copy out in handwriting.  By copying out the poems we are also memorizing them.

Our passports show where we are allowed go in the senior syndicate to work during Flexi Time. Everyone has different level access.    At level one you're only allowed in your whanau room and maths class.   There are only five levels of access.

Zaatari Refugee Camp

Today we are learning about a refugee camp called Zaatari.  They have tin houses to live in and they have machines guns on the side of the refugee camp.  Mr P's friend, Steve Addison, is telling as about how the refugees get food.

Here is Luke playing the world's hardest game.   We have to do a time test.   In the time test we have to go through a lot of sheets to complete the test.

Tinbum's Story

Tinbum is a travel bug penguin that travels around the world in and out of geocaches. Timbum came to Mosgiel in 2012 then he went in a geocaches and Mr P and his class sent him of around the world. People picked him out of the geocaches and took a photograph of him, then put him back into different geocache.  For a long time Tinbum didn't come back to Elmgrove. Yesterday Tinbum arrived in the mail.

We are going to think of a new mission for Tinbum and send him out into geocaches again.
